I’ve waited for this special day for a long time now, my best friend is getting married!! Jill and I have known each other for many years, celebrated a number of dear friends as they tied the knot, and she even stood by my side in very own wedding a couple years ago. But, today was the day we got to celebrate our amazing friend Jilly!
We couldn’t be happier for her as she starts her life with her wonderful fiancé. I also couldn’t be happier to help plan the special events leading up to her big day with my amazing girlfriends! I’m a total sucker for any kind of party and this one will always hold a special place in my heart!
Jill is a laid back simple gal so when it came time to plan her bridal shower the other girls and I wanted to keep it as such. We wanted it to reflect Jill’s personally yet give it a sense of class and sophistication!
Jill and her fiancé Cale are getting married in a beautiful renovated barn in a small town east of Seattle. Therefore, we wanted to tie that in with our decor. She loves neutral colors, greenery, and rustic wood elements. We brought in bunches of leafy greens, seeded eucalyptus, and succulents, old apple crates and rustic wood pieces.
Atineh from FreshmintPaperie on Etsy created the perfect invitations for our theme. Simple yet very classy!
We created a beverage bar to really be the center of the shower. We served homemade basil gimlets in adorable vintage champagne glasses along with strawberry lemon infused water in vintage green glasses (similar ones found here). Both were a hit!
There were so many little details sprinkled in throughout the party. You could feel the love in the room, surrounded by her best friends and family! We had such a wonderful time celebrating the future Mrs. Valentine! We could not be more excited for your future together! Happy Showering bestie!
